The Ópera en La Vera festival is consolidating.

"La Sonámbula de Bellini" in all its splendor

The singers, the orchestra, the costumes, the staging, everything received the reward of the public.

All this would not have been possible without the great work of Actua Ibérica, a team of assembly and sound technicians who regulated the acoustics of the pavilion.

If we agree that the success of a show can be measured by the number of spectators and their degree of satisfaction, the performance of the opera "La Sonnambula", which took place on the night of Friday, June 8th in the multipurpose pavilion of Villanueva de la Vera, must be considered a resounding success with the audience standing at the end of the performance.

We must highlight the great level of the artists and their love for their profession. Annie Fassea in her interpretation of the sleepwalker gives a wonderful performance, the costume design by Macarena Folache is in complete harmony with the scenography by Mónica Sánchez-Robles, playing the classical with contemporary art, and the scene directed by William Constabile Cisco.

We also featured Yiannis Hadjiloizou and his Piano recital

The Steinway piano, brought from Seville for the recital by the director of the Athens Philharmonic, had to be installed in the center of the Church of Valverde de la Vera. This church, in Gothic-Hispanic-Flemish style from the 15th century, turned out to be a perfect place to protect us from bad weather. We hope that next year we can enjoy outdoors everything we had planned for this one. We thank Mrs. Lorenza, responsible for the keys of the Church, for the affection with which she treated us.
